HELP WANTED FOR GOONED@CRIB FINAL UPDATE

 

 

 thats right! that fnaf type game i helped create last year is getting a final update, and its going to show what's behind the door (as well as bringing some other things to the main game)

what's behind the door? a visual novel! its gonna show you the entire story (yes there's a story here) of the universe, and YOU will help create it! providing us with assets like character portraits, backgrounds and voice clips in any style you want (just watch the video).

i made this trailer and the thumbnail! it took 3 days for the video

first day i made the audio, it took a while because i couldn't get the clips right and the mouth noises were pissing me off so i ended up downloading izotope's RX 12 audio editor, used for repairing clips and such

then i took a two day break

then on the REAL day 2 i drew the tv announcer guy sprites for the video and then later in the day blocked out everything in premiere

day 3 i keyframed and polished everything

final export took 8 or so minutes, and then i transcoded it to h265/opus and it brought down the filesize to ~45mb (without compromising on visual or audio quality!), which is what got uploaded on yt

Fast travel (GOONED@CRIB)

Before hard mode started coding, while we were still in the brainstorming phase, I suggested a fast travel monitor that would pop up to indicate the new rooms. However, quickly after coding more than half of the roster and mechanics, we realised that fast travel wouldn't be needed and that it would make the game too easy. The frantic room turning makes the chaos better!

That's right people! A brand new extreme video gaym is coming your way, made only by the most talented video geymeurs. This is one of the reasons why I was quiet during september and october (mostly due to school and other issues though).

We can't wait for you all to play it! It should hopefully come out by the end of november.

yes, i am actually making an rpg! slowly, barely, but still. its one of the reasons why this site is kinda dead (the other reasons are personal life and lack of motivation BUT I DIGRESS)

this screenshot is nothing! the background is animated and there is highly energetic music

clicking one of those 4 buttons over there will roll a d20, depending if you hit or not, it will initiate what that item does. like, it does damage to the enemy, or it heals you, or it increases your stats, or you get an extra roll next turn, etc

 Kinda like a mix of dicey dungeons and deltarune. I may make a seperate blog for this game soon cuz im planning to lock in during this winter break.. no promises tho

also that backpack button? it lets you use consumables you find around the map, like potions n stuff.
